When clicked on it sounds as if it had a modal dialog opened, and it can't be interacted with. I have to close it via Task Manager. The same happens when trying to add a new security key to my google account using a browser. Pretty much any time the Windows Security prompt comes up. Didn't work. Any ideas of where to look?
Edit: Even if I click "Cancel" on the windows security prompt the browser remains irresponsive as if the prompt window is still open. It will ask you to enter your credentials. You may also notice that new Outlook Inbox messages are not being received or a status bar message indicating that you are not connected to Outlook. This problem typically occurs if you have previously checked Remember my credentials in the Windows Security dialog.
Later, when you changed your password, the stored password was not updated when you typed in the new password at the Windows Security prompt. Note: If you don't check the Remember my credentials box, you won't run into this Windows Security prompt problem the next time that you change your password.
