Five Crowns is a game you can play with your family, friends of online strangers. Five Crowns have a few more rules, so make sure you understand all of them before you play the game competitively.
Speaking of which, the game works best in a group of It involves some bit of luck but having a great strategy can also win you a game. Conventionally, you go head to head against a dealer with the sole aim being to defeat him or her.
How do you do it? You receive two cards at the start of the game, the same as the dealer. Against that backdrop, what you do next is meant to help you get a value closest to or equal to You have a total of seventeen points. The hand is there waiting for you. Really love this app. Also it gives you the ability to get hints and make suggestions but you can do it your way too. Update a year later. Still love it. Best practice more. Sep 8, By Andrew Woodruff. I love this app! I love that this app lets me undo moves as far back as I want - I like to play out a game the way I think it should be done, and then go back and see how the AI recommends that I play it.
It's helpful for my learning! I also have already downloaded "Oh Hell" from the same app maker, which is a fun one. Definitely recommend! Sep 25, All bridge apps let you play the cards. When I last played bridge there were only 3 conventions.
Bidding was pretty much straight forward. You bid what you had, unless you were bidding for slam. Today even level 2 bids can mean the exact opposite of what it used to mean. Game has become far more complicated than 50 years ago. This app allows you to get an explanation of each bid, and hint on the next, and it does it well.
Only suggestion is a way for computer to PLAY hand 1 card at a time more. See all 5 reviews. Bidding rules Sep 8, By Always Learning Player. I gave this bridge app a four star as it is one of only ones I have found that you can play alone quickly and anytime against a computer. I do not quite understand the bidding rules as they do not necessarily follow the normal rules that I have learned -maybe too many years ago.
For example- Number of points to open, raising or changing suits, when to stay or go to game or slam, playing the game??? It is good practice. Oct 25, By Patricia Thomford. I would like to be able to change bid. When I know I have the rest of tricks, I would like to just declare win. It lets the other team do this when they have the bid. It will not let me when I have bid. Aug 18, By Jay Witt. Good implementation - the game play is pretty good at it's highest level.
There's no real training mode - if you're just learning, I think you'll be pretty confused. On the pro side, the explanation of the bids in all modes is very helpful. I was using the app to tune up - it help me a lot. I hadn't played in 20 years, now I'm confident I won't embarass myself. I do agree with some comments, there's no way to adjust bidding conventions. Jan 6, By Steven Brody.
Does silly things like having partner bid 4 when only 2 is necessary for game and the hand only makes 3. Does this over and over. Very frustrating. See all 4 reviews. Ads drive me crazy Sep 20, By malgost. I wish there would be an option to eliminate ads for games that make crazy noises and are sometimes hard to close.
Can you advice me how to get rid of it? I also lower the rating due to the insane bidding pattern like opening with 5 points or not opening with 16 points and perfect card. I also see that game creators love 3 non trump contract regardless of lack of proper conditions for it. I like going back option and possibility to override system by forcing better contract although , sometimes system forcing me to go higher than I want to.
Maybe I expect to much. See all 3 reviews. See all 2 reviews. Bridge by Neural Play Jan 7, By jake the sis. Very frustrating as opposing team at times will trump and then come back with the suit that they trumped!
I have no recourse! Neural Bridge Nov 11, By Jack in SC. The bidding engine really stinks…North frequently departs from standard or even rational calls. Awful app! Jun 25, By Trumped Out. The creator of this bridge app has obviously never played bridge! My partner bid 4 hearts with only 4 of that suit, no stoppers and low points. Dec 2, By Benjamin O'Neill. The AI component that runs your partner's bidding is awful.
It will also jump-shift from 3 of something to 6NT when you have a combined total of 24 pts. The only salvageable moment is being able to undo moves to figure out different algorithms to attempt to win the hand.

Great Bridge App Jul 28, By bfamily I love this game. Would be very useful for people who are new learners of the game and for folks who are just trying to improve their game. Great work guys…I love this app and play it way more than I should!!
Beginner Jul 23, By 2Bor not. Tried several different apps. This has been the best teacher for me. Great bridge game Apr 4, By campmoworld. Bridge V is a great game to play on phone or computer.
I think it Is one of the easiest formats to follow,. Love the game, but Jan 30, By tinsleytoo. I play it a lot. However, the bidding sometimes goes off the rails. Could my partner get some sort of software update? He misses some basics. Goes to game without enough info often. Misreads bids as small slam cues.
Opener should pass at the 2 level. Often he goes to game without enough points. In no trump computer partner goes to game with insufficient points.
Again, if he bids 1nt and I bid 2nt, I may only have 7 points. He should pass. That happens. He misreads the jump shift. He plays the Jacoby transfer transfer well most of the time, and weak twos as well. And generally his card play is superb. He picks off the extra tricks. Better Than Most Jan 20, By Starman6. I primarily like playing on my own against the AI, which performs better than most Bridge apps out there.
Good range of hands dealt so you don't have long runs of low point hands. The AI opponents bid competently.
Some apps have totally outlandish bids. The hints offered are actually useful, if needed. I would like an Undo button right on the main screen rather than needing to navigate through the review button.
Great customization options for the look of the cards, table and cloth too. And, the in app purchase to remove ads is quite reasonable for the quality and features offered in this game. Definitely a keeper for me! Best bridge game Nov 25, By Rvartist. This one is fun and stable. Is it perfect I like that I can redo bidding or play. I like I can replay the hand according to how the game played and got more tricks than I did. Fun during a lonely time. Nov 18, By Grany GP.
Sitting by yourself gets lonely. Cannot play bridge with this virus spreading. This is something that helps fill the void in a fun way. Love this game Nov 2, By Sherina T. This one is the easiest and most versatile. I especially like that I can bid both my hand and my partners. I only wish there were more conventions to select for the computer-generated bids. Bought upgrade by mistake Aug 16, By jacjule.
Is that a one time charge or will I be charged monthly? By MarzBridge. The advertising is absolute punishment. And randomly worthless as well. It suited my needs. It does have quirks and design flaws but I can live with these.
But the ads are brutal, crude, often randomly LOUD. Miss competing against random individual Jun 6, By Aivlys I miss competing against a random opponent and seeing who won and, if I won, the fun over-the-top ta-da! Please bring that back. It made me feel good. That is what had made this app stand out from all the rest. Please, please, please, find a way to bring that back.
By lizm In your recent upgrade, you moved this button right under a pass button. Bridge V1 Nov 26, By Bibbermom. The robots or whoever the opponents are keep stealing tricks away from player when legally should go to player.
Also the partners robots I presume never bid right. I enjoy playing bridge and like practicing on line, but you need to fix these bugs for your app to be enjoyable. See All Expert Reviews. Terrible redesign Jun 27, By I read it anyway.
Have you heard he phrase 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? The new design shrunk the card sizes, making them much harder to read, which forces the player to focus on trying to see the cards, not play the game. The update didn't add value, but did add a bunch of noise to the screen that detracts from the enjoyment of just Go back to the old version please. Excellent practicing app Oct 18, By Joehjl.
For a free or cheap, if you choose to buy it's an excellent app to practice. Is it perfect? No, but neither are some partners on Bridge Base, where I play "for real". I use it for pass time too. A good teacher Aug 13, By drfwatson. I would consider myself a novice bridge player. This app is teaching me the use of some conventions and giving me worthy AI opponents.
I particularly like the fact that you don't have to be connected to the internet. The app provided endless hours of entertainment and instruction while I was in remote mountains away from internet.
How a game should have been played Apr 4, Would like a feature that shows how a game should have been played, hand by hand. It is a puzzlement how it sometimes turns out. The bidding is also suspect. You should never bid on a three suit. Aside from that, enjoy the game By Meme It has been great for learning as well as offers the challenge of duplicate tournaments so one can compare their skills with others.
